"Peru is a really special place," Britton said. "And I think that this place on Earth for whatever reason is charmed and we feel pretty lucky."

Britton tells us her favorite McCartney song is "Jet." She said it was a nickname of hers growing up. And now, as she runs the general store, she hopes more folks jet over to check it out.

Still rocking months before his 73rd birthday, Paul McCartney is no stranger to the spotlight. At this year's Grammy Awards, McCartney appeared alongside Kanye and Rihanna for a live performance of "FourFiveSeconds." Managing to emerge in the top 40 once again, McCartney doesn't appear to be slowing down for retirement.

As Inquisitr recently reported, McCartney's collaboration with West and Rihanna isn't the first to turn heads. Earlier in 2015, Paul was featured in Kanye West's "Only One" and teamed up with Lady Gaga, who initially hung up on McCartney believing his request to collaborate was a prank. Paul's eagerness to stay relevant in the current musical landscape is admirable, and the entertainment community is taking note.

Making live appearances each year since 1998, it seems as though Paul McCartney is a dedicated workaholic with a penchant for staying active. Following his 2008 divorce from former wife Heather Mills, Paul has traveled the world playing music, seemingly unaffected by the loss of nearly $50 million in the separation agreement.

Following his Grammy performance, Paul appeared on 'SNL 40 singing "Maybe I'm Amazed" before Miley Cyrus sang "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," Rolling Stone reported. Despite the age difference between McCartney and today's top pop stars, he's more than willing to cross generational lines to match musical talents with a fellow creative.

The publicity enjoyed by the famous Beatle couldn't come at a better time; Paul is gearing up for his 2015 tour, which will include stops in Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul in April. While tour dates for the latter half of 2015 have not yet been released, McCartney usually reserves the end of the year for music festival and charity event appearances.

In 2014, Paul spent most of the year finishing his Out There tour, which lasted more than a year and earned him recent acclaim at the 2015 Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. The previous year, he performed memorable sets at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, and impromptu concerts around the world.

In addition to Paul McCartney, performers who received awards at this year's Pollstar ceremony included Katy Perry, Sam Smith, and Dave Chappelle.

Paul McCartney made a brief video appearance on the Stevie Wonder special, "Grammy Salute: Stevie Wonder Songs In The Key Of Life" aired Monday on CBS.

Paul spoke candidly from his Grammys dressing room talking about recording with Wonder and how Wonder's childhood classmates teased his name change when he achieved fame.

Macca signed off with, "Stevie, I can't put it any other way. ' F*KING GREAT!" Of course CBS bleeped out the f-word out.

Everyone's still talking about Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary special, which featured several musical performances, including Paul McCartney and Paul Simon's comedic collaboration on the Beatles' "I've Just Seen a Face," as well as McCartney's solo shot of his '70s hit "Maybe I'm Amazed."

But the musical highlights didn't stop when SNL 40 ended. At the all-star afterparty at New York's Plaza Hotel, McCartney and Jimmy Fallon got down with Taylor Swift on her hit "Shake It Off." Accompanying them was a guitarist sporting a pilgrim hat, red-and-black coat. and a white shirt and tie. Yahoo Music has learned that the mystery player was none other than Sean Lennon - the son of McCartney's late Beatles bandmate John Lennon.

Sean has a solid musical career in his own right, releasing five solo albums beginning with his debut, 1998's Into the Sun on the Beastie Boys Grand Royal label. His most recent project, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger - a collaboration with his girlfriend Charlotte Kemp Muhl - issued the critically acclaimed album Midnight Sun in 2014.

Saturday night, however, Lennon was a low-key sideman to Swift, Fallon, and McCartney. Of course, Beatlemanics are probably slapping themselves silly over the missed opportunity to see and hear McCartney and Sean Lennon collaborate on a Beatles classic.

The afterparty also featured spontaneous performances by the likes of Prince, Michael Bolton, Miley Cyrus, Debbie Harry, Arianna Grande, and HAIM.

Hours after celebrating the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, Taylor Swift took to the stage at the afterparty, and was joined by legendary musician Paul McCartney and The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.

TMZ obtained Instagram video of the post-broadcast festivities, which shows Swift on stage singing her megahit, "Shake It Off." McCartney is seen to Swift's right on the guitar and providing backup vocals, while Fallon is seen rocking out on the mic. Both McCartney and Fallon unleashed their inner Swiftie, as they both seemed to have enjoy performing to her joyful, carefree lyrics.

Swift, McCartney and Fallon are then seen singing The Beatles' 1963 hit, "I Saw Her Standing There." Swift even took the opportunity to show that she can strum a guitar side by side with a legendary musician.

Earlier during the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special, Fallon opened the show with a cold open with Justin Timberlake. McCartney then appeared briefly in the opening monologue and later performed the track, "Maybe I'm Amazed." Swift then showed off her acting chops in a revival of the sketch "The Californians" featuring Jason Sudeikis, Kristin Wiig and Fred Armisen, with special cameos by Bradley Cooper and Betty White.... On Valentine's Day Paul had a busy schedule. First he rehearsed songs with his band for the "SNL 40 LIVE Special" which airs tonight at 7pm ET to 11:30pm ET on NBC. Then he was seen at Madison Square Garden sitting in the audience for a sports event, which made him late for his scheduled 9pm show at Irving Plaza.

Earlier in the day 200 tickets were released at the Irving Plaza box office at 10am. Only one wristband would be given out for a fee of $40 cash. The concert was General Admission though it is thought there were some pricey VIP tickets for seats in the balcony running close to $900. Scalpers were reportedly asking $500 a ticket.

Early in the week the rumors were swirling about a possible Paul McCartney show at Irving Plaza. Continued speculation had it pegged as a private affair attached to his SNL 40th Anniversary appearance but still others held out hope that it would be a public show. Also early in the week, a friend sent me a copy of an email with a banner on it announcing "An Intimate Evening with Paul McCartney" At Irving Plaza with February 14th date but a wrong year. When I asked the friend, they said they called the number attached to be told that tickets were $950 GA and some other information. Things didn't sound legit although some more hope that it might be public to some extent. Two friends and myself decided to risk it and come into the city Saturday morning and hang around Irving Plaza just in case that they might announce it last minute like the Times Square Gig. So we arrived at 6:45AM and I was expecting to see the 15-30 diehard fans that are always there really early if there's just a sniff of a Paul show but instead found nobody. In all fairness, the fact that it wasn't official and that it was bitter cold probably didn't hurt. However, there were security guys already at the door. I decided to walk up to one and ask where they wanted us to start lining up. The guard looked at me and said "Line up? I don't know what you are talking about". I smiled at him and said, C'mon we know that Paul McCartney is playing here tonight and I'm just trying to be a respectful fan and ask where you wanted us. With that, he lightened up, smiled and pointed and said right there is fine. So we were the first three and in great position if it did happen.

About 20 minutes later, loading trucks started to arrive and MPL crates could be seen be unloaded. Now we knew for sure that there would be a show! Around 9am-930am, some of Paul's people arrived on scene. Came over to say hi to the small group of 15 or so fans lined up. We were told that tickets would be sold. We were told one wristband per person, $40.00 and then we would return at 9:30PM and stand behind the line that your wristband number fell under and that door would open shortly after. I then sent some messages out to come down there as did others. At around 10AM, we were brought inside 3 at a time. I was first, I paid my $40 and reached into a bag to grab a random wristband. I came up with #631. I walked out side were I was soon joined by my friend Phil who had grabbed #115 I think and then Paul who had #11. Of course I was now a bit worried, not only did I draw a high number, I wouldn't be let in the same time as my two friends. By the time I went in for my band, I was surprised that there still were no more than 25 people lined up. But I had my band and it was time to get out of the cold after 3 1/2 hours. We went back to our hotel.

After dinner, we walked to the venue as It had warmed up a bit and wasn't so brutal. We walked up to the venue and it didn't appear like it was an overwhelming number of people. Both of my friends with the lower numbers wound up behind me. I was the fourth group to go inside. I must say the number system although mildly disappointing was pretty effective and orderly. Saw a few of the familiar faces but really surprised at the lack of the usual suspects. I entered to the performance area which was about 1/4 full and found myself a spot center to the right of Paul's microphone to get a nice view of the piano. While I was there, I was approached by someone from Jimmy Fallon's security who told me that there was a black mark on the floor to my right and that during "My Valentine" they would be bringing a couple to stand there and that I would have to move then because a camera from the balcony would be filming them. I agreed but as it started getting crazy cramped, I decided to make a move towards the back against the wall where very few people were. Even 3/4 of the way back, was still an excellent vantage point with my own wall and railing and a cool air blower right above me. My friend Phil joined me over there.

Finally around 1100PM, Paul took the stage to a cheering, loving crowd. Paul looked great and sounded very good. The whole band was energetic and looked to be very happy to be playing the small gig. During the show, Paul announced that this day was all about love and that it was all anyone needed. He mentioned love several more times during the evening. He also mentioned that he liked playing these small gigs and that they usually added songs that usually are used for soundchecks to play different songs. With that, the crowd cheered quite loudly. "My Valentine" was dedicated to Nancy but nothing happened during this song with the Fallon ticket winners. Much later in the show, Paul said that two lucky fans won tickets on Jimmy Fallon last night and he asked if they were out there. Both had been moved to where I had been standing and he acknowledged them and said "Hello". Either one of the Fallon winners or someone near them asked Paul if they could come on stage. Paul joked around stating "no" and I have security up here. A funny little bit. He added a story that isn't in the usual ones he uses talking about how is 1961 Hofner had been stolen and that still after all of these years it hadn't shown up. He joked that it was somewhere in a mansion of a hill where some guy has it in a secret room. He added that the person could never sell it because as soon as it his the market, Paul would know that it was his guitar and he'd never be able to sell it. My pal Paul said that this would have been a great segue into "My Brave Face" which it would have but of course that didn't happen. But heck if he wasn't right!!!

For the most part the fans were well behaved and overjoyed at the show. Paul came out for one encore and then gave the customary "See you next Time". HE also answered several "I love you comments" with "I love you too!". He also said that he "loved New York!" There you have it.. Another great show with great friends!!

A holiday, a song title and a free night before a TV appearance were pretext enough for Paul McCartney to book a sudden show on Saturday night at Irving Plaza; its capacity, about 1,000, is an order of magnitude smaller than the arenas he usually headlines. The audience, he said joshingly, was "so close you can see my dental work." On Sunday, Mr. McCartney was scheduled to perform on "Saturday Night Live's" 40th-anniversary prime-time special. But Saturday was also Valentine's Day, and Mr. McCartney announced, "Tonight it's all about love."

Midway through the set, he came to "the point of this evening." He dedicated "My Valentine," a minor-key ballad from his 2012 album "Kisses on the Bottom," to his wife, Nancy Shevell, and red confetti petals showered down on the sold-out crowd. "That's the big spectacular production number of this evening," he said afterward.

The concert, about 100 minutes long, was mostly an abridged version of the set Mr. McCartney performed last year on his world tour of arenas. He slipped in a few 1950s oldies he clearly admires: the Crickets' "It's So Easy" and, even better, Carl Perkins's "Matchbox," which gave him a chance to belt the blues and show off some pointed, rockabilly-rooted lead guitar.

Although Kanye West, Mr. McCartney's recent collaborator, is also performing on the "Saturday Night Live" special, he didn't share the stage with Mr. McCartney as he did at the Grammy Awards. It might have been jarring; this audience was not a hip-hop crowd, and it sang along loudest on Beatles songs from the 1960s. The Irving Plaza show was Mr. McCartney's domain. He drew on every decade of his long career - including a few recent songs, like "Save Us" and "New" from his 2013 album "New" - and he casually moved from instrument to instrument, though he never got around to the drums.

The set was filled - as is Mr. McCartney's huge songwriting catalog - with love songs that fuse musical ingenuity with pure, guileless romance: "I know this love of mine will never die/And I love her." By now, Mr. McCartney's graceful melodies are a shared cultural heritage. Among his gifts, as songwriter and singer, is the ability to make songs like "And I Love Her" come across - even in their umpteenth performance - as sweetly sincere yet never saccharine.

Mr. McCartney's cleverness shows up in songs like "Another Day," which shifts between rocker and waltz; he followed it with "We Can Work It Out," which does the same trick. Unlike most ballad auteurs, Mr. McCartney is also a rocker, schooled on rockabilly and Little Richard, ready to rasp whether it was in "Matchbox," in The Beatles' brilliant Beach Boys parody "Back in the U.S.S.R." or over the gnarled guitar riff of his "Let Me Roll It," which segued into an instrumental of Jimi Hendrix's "Foxey Lady."

In the club, Mr. McCartney and his band weren't intent on being as polished as they might be in a studio or stadium. They let Abe Laboriel Jr.'s drum flourishes erupt; they plowed ahead when Mr. McCartney's voice grew ragged in "Jet." The songs, so familiar but still eagerly awaited, lived up to decades of memories; there was no question about everyone joining in on "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" or "Hey Jude." The encore, the grand finale of "Abbey Road," summed up much of Mr. McCartney's songwriting in its quick-changing suite: ballad, rocker, anthem, benediction. "In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make," he declared. It was, after all, Valentine's Day.

"Tonight is about love," he told his audience, as rose petals fell.

He entertained a wide group of admirers, including Peyton Manning, Eddie Murphy, Emma Stone, Tom Hanks and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. Other celebs who attended included Jim Carrey, Paul Rudd, Kristen Wiig, Q-Tip, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, David Spade, Andy Cohen and Billy Crystal.

McCartney performed excitedly on guitar and keys, singing "Hey Jude," ''Drive My Car," ''Let It Be" and "Carry That Weight."

And he gave as good as he got.

"New York City, you have been fantastic tonight," he told his audience. "We love you."

Paul McCartney is reportedly playing Irving Plaza in New York City on Valentine's Day.

Only 1,000 people will be at this concert. Jimmy Fallon gave away a pair of tickets for the show to a couple in his audience today and did not disclose the venue location.

There are rumors that parts of the concert will be taped for the Saturday Night Live Special to be aired the next night.

The former Beatle extends his tour of modern pop collaborations by recording a 'beautiful' session with the Bad Romance singer.

Nobody could accuse Paul McCartney of slacking off these days. Following a month that saw the former Beatle pop up on songs with Kanye West and Rihanna, McCartney now appears to be recording with Lady Gaga.

At least that's what photos on Gaga's Instagram page suggest. "Had a beautiful session with Sir Paul McCartney and friends," Gaga wrote on the social media site, underneath a photo featuring herself, Macca and a room of musicians (including Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready). She continued: "Working on one of his many secret projects! Killer musicians, vibe, and lots of laughs."

A subsequent photo, which featured just Gaga and McCartney, included the message: "Always a good time with my buddy. I'll never forget when he called me last year to work and I hung up the phone cuz I thought it was a prank!"

No further details of this collaboration are available at present, although McCartney's previous songs with Kanye West and Rihanna saw him stepping out of the spotlight. Only One featured West on lead vocals, with McCartney responsible for the organ playing and production. FourFiveSeconds, with Rihanna and West, featured McCartney as a guitar player.

Last year for reasons beyond his control Paul was forced to cancel his first ever trip to South Korea. Today it is confirmed that Paul will bring his show to Seoul this May. Paul McCartney has created a Superbowl super-selfie with Monty Python star Eric Idle, Joe Walsh from The Eagles and Ghostbusters actor Dan Aykroyd.

Eric Idle, who formed Beatles parody band The Rutles, was obviously a little star-struck by the encounter, posting the photo on Twitter with the simple caption: 'How cool is this?'

He went on to reveal that he'd been sitting next to Game of Thrones author George. R.R. Martin during the match and high fived him!

It's not clear which team the celebrities were supporting in the Superbowl XLIX, eventual winners New England Patriots or narrowly defeated Seattle Seahawks. But they looked to be having a great time away from the heat of the action at University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale in Arizona.

Macca is no stranger to America's favourite sporting spectacle. In 2005 he got the gig filled by Katy Perry this year: half-time entertainment. On top of an X-shaped stage made of video projectors, McCartney sang Drive My Car, Get Back, Live and Let Die and a finale of Hey Jude - with the 84,000 crowd on backing vocals.

We knew Eddie Murphy was making his long-awaited return to "Saturday Night Live's" famed Studio 8H, but now there are 35 other big names joining the once-sketch comedy show star at the NBC staple's coming 40th anniversary.

Most of the revealed crop are former "SNL"cast members as well - such as Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Jimmy Fallon, Adam Sandler, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, Garrett Morris, Chris Rock and more - though some are merely famous friends of the show.

"Saturday Night Live" will unveil more names in the coming days, a show spokesperson told TheWrap.

"SNL 40" airs live Sunday, Feb. 15th from 8 - 11pm ET on NBC.

During the game, cameras focused on sky boxes where the VIPs and celebrities were sitting at the game. Some even had placards at their seats with their names printed on it so cameramen and sports commentators would know who they were.

Paul was shown by himself for about 8 seconds on camera before the Super Bowl announcers moved on to report the game.
